An exchange device with membranes including a stack of membranes (6) and of separating frames, each frame including a peripheral part (1) forming a seal and with a thickness of at least 0.6 mm, and a central cavity (2) receiving a spacing component (3) permeable to fluids and coated on its periphery in part 1), through holes (4) are provided on the two opposite sides of each frame and membrane and some of these communicate with the central part by means of distributors (5) widened out to ensure an appropriate distribution of the fluids into the chambers, each bounded by two successive membranes and the frame inserted between them, fluid flows in parallel directions, and then the removal of these fluids from the said chambers.
