PURPOSE:To bring one end and the other end of a board near an optical device laid out inside a light transmission window and a signal line in the lower part of a package peripheral wall respectively and enable them to be housed in the package. CONSTITUTION:The top of a board 100 is slanted by a specified angle. A semiconductor device board is designed so that the upper part 102 and lower part 102 of the top of the board may be brought near an optical device 40 laid out inside a window 20 for light transmission and a signal line 30 in the lower part of a package peripheral wall 12 respectively, thereby enabling both the window and the signal line to be housed in a package 10.
