PURPOSE:To realize a gas dynamic laser of a structure wherein an adjustment of sealing gases, which are made to flow along the surfaces of resonance mirrors, is easy, protection of the mirrors can be given reliably and easily and a reduction in a laser output is not caused. CONSTITUTION:In a gas dynamic laser of a structure wherein a supersonic nozzle 2 for laser medium acceleration is coupled with a resonance chamber 3 provided with resonance mirrors 3a and 3b at the side part on one side of the side parts of the chamber 3 and a supersonic diffuser 4 is coupled with the chamber 3 at the other side part, supersonic nozzles 5 for sealing gas connected with a sealing gas bomb 9 are jointly provided on both sides of the nozzle 2 and supersonic flows of sealing gases 8 parallel to a supersonic flow of a laser medium 6 are formed. Thereby, as protection of the mirrors 3a and 3b using the gases 8 is given reliably and easily, the deterioration of the mirrors 3a and 3b is decreased, the prolongation of the life of a laser oscillator is made possible and as an oblique impulsive wave is not generated, the improvement of a laser output becomes possible. |
