PURPOSE:To reduce the noise component of the output signal of an automatic amplitude controller at a non-signal level. CONSTITUTION:The signal supplied through an input terminal 1 is amplified by a constant gain amplifier 3 which has the prescribed gain. A level slicing circuit 4 slices the ranges within the upper and lower slice levels set around a DC level out of the signal transmitted from the amplifier 3. A detection part 5 measures the amplitude control for the output signal of the circuit 4. The result of this measurement is outputted to a slice value control part 6. Thus the part 6 outputs a control signal to control the slice value of the circuit 4 in response to the measuring result of the signal amplitude obtained by the part 5. So that the amplitude of the output signal of the circuit 4 is set at a fixed level. |
