PURPOSE:To exactly perform printing inside an item by really measuring the information of respective items with a printer and inputting it while using the printer as a measuring means. CONSTITUTION:The coordinates of first and second designated positions designated by a paper feeding means 102 and a print head moving means 103 are stored in a coordinate storage means 104. Next, concerning a rectangular area with a line linking the first and second coordinates as a diagonal, the upper position of that area from the upper edge of printing paper and the left position from the left edge of printing paper are calculated, the longitudinal and lateral widths of that rectangular area are calculated, and the calculated values are stored in an area storage means 106. When the printing paper is set at any prescribed position, the printing paper sheet and a printing head 101 are moved to the rectangular area corresponding to the values stored in the area storage means 106 while controlling the paper feeding means 102 and the printing head moving means 103. Then, document information stored in a document information storage means 107 is printed inside the rectangular area. |
