PURPOSE:To obtain a toner uniform in particle diameter and superior in fluidity and triboelectrification characteristics by mixing a thermoplastic resin A containing a magnetic powder, a wax, a pigment, and the like having a specified particle diameter range, fine thermoplastic resin particles B having a specified particle diameter range, and other fine particles by applying a stress so as to form particles having a specified particle diameter range. CONSTITUTION:The thermoplastic resin A having an average particle diameter of 5-15mum containing the magnetic powder, and when needed, a wax, the pigment, and the like, the fine thermoplastic resin B having a particle diameter of <=2mum, and other necessary fine particles, such as an electrifiability controller, are mixed by applying a mechanical stress with a dispersing machine, such as a ball mill or a sand mill, in such conditions as obtaining an average particle diameter of 5-20mum, and the toner composed of particles A coated with fine particles B and the necessary fine particles, and melt attached to the surface of particles A by friction heat generated by the dispersing machine. |
