Tensioning assembly mounted to or incorporated into a display device which is in the form of one or more display faces (40) made from a substantially flexible polymer and which is mounted on a frame about its peripheral portions such that sufficient or a predetermined amount of tension is placed on the face (40) so as to at least somewhat resemble a rigid plate or face. Tensioning devices (24, 26) may be attached to the face (40) in opposed relation to one another and these tensioning devices (24, 26) may be in the form of a connecting unit (24, 26) which serves to interconnect the face (40) to the frame while at the same time placing the desired amount of tension thereon. The display device may be interiorly lighted by providing a lighting assembly on the interior of the frame adjacent to the flexible face (40) so as to transmit light thereto and clearly display any indicia formed on the face (40). The connection means (24, 26) comprises connector assemblies spaced approximately nine inches on center relative to the frame and to the display face (40) such that the amount of tension placed on the face (40) may be regulated by the engagement of these connector assemblies (24, 26) with the peripheral portion of the face (40) around the periphery edge of the display device. |
