Integrated process for the simultaneous production of ter- butyl alkyl ethers and 1-butene which comprises feeding a C4 hydrocarbon flow to an esterification unit and recycling the remaining flow to the same unit after separation of the 1-butene and treatment in an isomerization section for converting the remaining butenes to isobutene, with a molecular sieve separation unit acting on the hydrocarbons in the vapour phase being included in the cycle.
