The invention relates to an emptying device for a mixing container (1) at a biogas plant for waste treatment, the emptying device (3) being arranged at the lower end (11) of the mixing container (1). For controlled and periodic discharging, the emptying device is a lock (3) whose inlet (4) is provided with a first closing valve (6) and outlet (5) is provided with a second closing valve (6). The valves (6) are tilted to prevent the material discharged from the mixing container from jamming the valves.
