NOISE ATTENUATION DEVICE WITH ACTIVE DOUBLE WALL

An active double wall comprises two parallel plates (10, 11) defining a rectangular space (12). Four sensors (13) are positioned between the plates so as to detect noises in said space (12), and four actuators are placed between the plates to emit counter-noises in the space (12). The actuators (14) are phase-controlled by a control unit (18) in order to minimise the sum (e) of the outputs of the sensors (13). The actuators (14) are positioned in the middle of the sides of the rectangular space (12), and the sensors are positioned in the middle of the sides of a diamond, the vertices of the diamond being formed by the midpoints of the sides of the rectangualr space (12), or vice-versa.
