In a room which is fitted with UV radiators and is placed under vacuum, the sources of radiation which are located in the room or on components or wastes are destroyed by the UV radiator; the energy content of the sources of radiation is emitted to the outer boundary of the room as heat; if necessary this must be cooled. Magnetic fields can also be arranged, which attract the voltage elements (nuclei) which are released. The temperature is thus reduced and can be controlled. In the case of steel containers and others where the sources of radiation or the materials must be enclosed, in accordance with regulations, cooling must be carried out in any case (cooling jacket or the like), the energy content of the exhaust heat can then be used in another way.
