Retaining device for a roof protection wall

The disadvantage with known retaining devices is that, for fastening purposes and for removal purposes after work is completed, the roof covering first of all has to be removed and later re-installed, which process involves risks. The novel retaining device can be installed and removed rapidly and without danger and can be transported in a space-saving manner. In the case of the retaining device, the protection wall retaining means exhibits, on its upper side, a plate with a transverse bore for receiving a fastening bolt such that it can turn freely and, at the end directed away from the wall post retaining means, a stop which projects beyond the protection wall retaining means on one side. In this arrangement, the distance of the plate from the stop is smaller than the distance from the plate to the wall post retaining means. The wall post retaining means is preferably formed as a tube portion, with the result that a wall post can be inserted. Furthermore, the wall post retaining means is arranged on the protection wall retaining means such that it can be pivoted and arrested. The retaining device is suitable for retaining a roof protection wall with different designs.
