Application of a method of high-pressure steam treatment

A description is given of the possibility of the application of a method in which previously comminuted wood in the form of chips is firstly exposed to a high-pressure steam treatment and is then defibred by means of sudden pressure reduction, to another application technique entirely different hereto, namely for the preparation of a material reuse of comminuted interior trim parts of old vehicles, consisting of carrier parts, preferably containing wood fibres, which are loaded with films, fabrics or similar laminating materials. In a particularly advantageous procedure, the inner trim parts are comminuted and, in this condition, are exposed to the gas pressure of a permanent gas of at least 20 bar in a closed pressure container. The pressure gas in the pressure container is suddenly relieved in such a manner that the internal overpressure formed in the pore volume of the wood fibre material escapes, while releasing its pressing structure. The fibrous material of the released carrier part is separated from the laminated materials by means of screening methods. <IMAGE>
