Valve for a hydraulic telescopic vibration damper, in which passages running through a valve body are provided, the outlet-side orifices of which are covered by annular valve discs, the valve discs and the valve body being fixed in an axial restraining chain. Fully automatic assembly in a short cycle time by the dry process was to be provided, a valve closing force independent of tolerances being created with a method as far as possible free of chip particles. To solve this problem, the valve discs and the valve body are strung together and restrained on a cylindrical component, a fixing element being fixed to the cylindrical component.
