PURPOSE:To perform cleaning process after process using water without fats and oils and a solvent by making a polishing flaw produced on the surface of a roll to be processed by lapping powder saw-toothed in the circumferential direction of the roll to be processed, so that the polarity of a polishing flaw is preferable both to doctor and ink flow. CONSTITUTION:A belt-like non-woven fabric F taken out from a raw cloth roll G is made to adhere closely to a lapping head 9 in the circumferential direction of a roll R to be processed and passed through a space up to the roll R to be processed, and the non-woven fabric F is taken up on the opposite side to ensure tension. Rotation is applied to the roll R to be processed, the lapping head 9 is elastically pressed to the roll R to be processed, and moved with the non-woven fabric F along the roll R to be processed while giving small vibration along the roll R to be processed to supply suspended water of lapping powder to a part where the roll R to be processed and the non-woven fabric F come into dynamic contact with each other. |
