PURPOSE:To decrease costs by using a shock absorber which has a simple construction and can be easily assembled in a short time. CONSTITUTION:A shock absorber 1 is constituted from the main body of the shock absorber 1 made of corrugated fiberboard which is assembled into a cylindrical shape and which has opened both ends to encircle an item 2 to be packed and side parts 6 comprising two boards 7, 9 made of corrugated fiberboard which are disposed in a vertical direction to close both opened ends of the main body of the absorber 1 and boards 10, 8 which are located at the upper end and the lower end respectively to form a space between the boards 7 and 9. The item to be packed 2 is put into a packing box 15 in such a manner that the item 2 is protected by the absorber 1, wherein the item 2 can be protected by the shock absorber 1 comprising the main body and the side parts 6 on both ends, which main body and side pats have a simple construction and can be easily assembled, and hence packing cost can be significantly decreased. |
