PURPOSE:To reduce an installation space and to cut initial and utility costs by omitting a dehumidifier and a heat pump which have been installed before a rotary NOx adsorber and simplifying the composition of an exhaust gas cleaning system as a whole. CONSTITUTION:An exhaust gas containing NOx, the concentration of which is 5ppm or less, is treated with a rotary NOx adsorber 4 to adsorb NOx, and gas from an outlet of a regeneration zone is treated with an auxiliary denitration apparatus 14 equipped with a NH3 supply device for the catalytic reduction of NOx.
