PURPOSE:To produce alumina-chromia-zircon-based sintered refractory brick improved in corrosion resistance and also prevented in the deterioration of heat impact resistance by adding a chromia component. CONSTITUTION:A refractory raw material consisting of 10-50wt.% chrominous raw material consisting principally of chromia bat, 5-30wt.% zirconous raw material and the balance aluminous raw material is sintered to produce the refractory brick. In this case, the total contents of the components other than Al2O3, Cr2O3 and ZrO2 in the sintered compact is specified at <=10wt.%. Also, the refractory brick may be produced by sintering a refractory raw material consisting of >=90wt.% the above described raw material and the balance refractory clay. The chromia bat may be used singly or a mixture of the chromia bat with a chromium oxide (where, chromium oxide is <=15wt.% in total refractory raw material) may be used as the chromia raw material. |
