PURPOSE:To reduce the resistance of a channel and to enhance reliability of an operation and a response to a pressure change, etc., by forming another passage from an ink supply passage, and arranging a capillary flow passage communicating an ink storage chamber with a feeder chamber. CONSTITUTION:Ink in an ink storage chamber 22 is supplied to a nit 24 through an ink supply passage 29, and the ink is held in a capillary flow passage 31 by a capillary force. Accordingly, the passage 31 becomes a state sealed by the force of the ink, and when a pressure in the chamber 22 is substantially equal to the atmospheric pressure, the ink is not fed into the chamber 26. If a temperature rises, the air in the chamber 22 is expanded to raise the pressure in the chamber 22, the ink is fed to the chamber 26 through the passage 31 to compensate a pressure rise in the chamber 22, thereby maintaining the inner pressure constant. |
