PRODUCTION OF HYALURONIC ACID

摘要

PURPOSE:To enable efficient and inexpensive production of hyaluronic acid which is useful as a medicine or cosmetic in an industrial scale. CONSTITUTION:A microorganism capable of producing hyaluronic acid is cultured in a medium containing glucose and fructose as major carbon source to accumulate hyaluronic acid of high molecular weight in the culture mixture and the objective hyaluronic acid is collected from the culture mixture.
