<p>PURPOSE:To provide a library device which can detect and inform of projection of a cartridge by providing a sensor for detecting projection of the cartridge storing a recording medium at a front face of a driving fitting part and a storage shelf. CONSTITUTION:The device is provided with a storage 1 having in a front face thereof shelves 10 partitioned plurally in the vertical and the lateral direction for respectively storing cartridges 4 each containing a recording medium, and a medium driving means 2 equipped outside of the storage 1 for driving the recording medium in the inserted cartridge 4. Between the storage 1 and the medium driving means 2, a cartridge conveying means 3 for conveying and inserting the cartridge 4 and a detecting means 5 for detecting projection of the cartridges 4, inserted into respective shelves of the storage 1 and the medium driving means 2, from front faces of the shelves 10 and the medium driving means 2 are provided. Based on detection output of the detecting means 5, the projection of the cartridge 4 is informed.</p> |
