KNEADING AND GRANULATING METHOD OF RESIN

PURPOSE:To control the amount of resin in a chute in a residence state by a method wherein the amount of resin in the chute is detected exactly. CONSTITUTION:In the method concerned, in which the resin kneaded in a kneader 3 is guided through a chute 4 to an extruder 5 so as to be extruded and granulated, the amount of resin in the chute 4 in a residence state is imaged with an infrared camera 14 so as to process the resultant image information for detecting the level of the amount of resin in order to control the supply of resin or the rotational frequency of the extruder in response to the level of the amount of resin. Even when the visibility is hindered by the gas developing in the chute, the exact amount of resin can be detected.
