PURPOSE:To house long articles, utilizing a minimum space behind a staircase without the need for providing a space for housing works separately to the side of the staircase. CONSTITUTION:In a housing device 10 behind a staircase, a long space stretching along the longitudinal direction of the staircase under a staircase backboard 14 is made to become a housing space 22 that is opened and shut with an opening/shutting door 21. The opening/shutting door 21 turns under the backboard 14 round a pivot 23A provided along the longitudinal direction of the staircase, and thereby almost entire range in the longitudinal direction of the housing space 22 can be opened and shut. |
