Aerial changeover switch between transmitter and receiver - has two coupling probes in waveguide, leading to coaxial lines, both probes being adjustable

The change-over switch between a transmitter and a receiver contains a 2 dB coupler for attenuation purposes. The assembly uses PIN-diodes duplexers of high power, which is compact even for application of low frequencies. Two coupling probes leading to coaxial lines, are mounted in a waveguide in a quarter-wavelength spacing. One probe is adjustable by further PIN-diodes in a quarter-wavelength spacing, while the other one is adjustable by a tuning screw. In order to increase the effective performance, a further identical change-over switch is connected in parallel and the receiver outputs are commoned by a 3 dB coupler.
