<p>PURPOSE:To obtain the subject inhibitory factor useful as a preventing and treating agent for various diseases involving vascularization such as tumors, retinopathy and chronic arthrorheumatism. CONSTITUTION:This proteinaceous inhibitory factor has the following properties: (1) contained in the supernatant produced by culturing human fibroblasts, (2) not adsorbed to a heparin Sepharose affinity column, (3) having in vitro proliferation inhibitory activiy against human vascular endothelial cells, and (4) having a molecular weight of 100-150kd (determined by molecular sieve chromatography).</p> |
