<p>PURPOSE:To provide an apparatus for maintaining a plate denture with a bed which is kept from coming off in chewing to ensure excellent stability and has a better periodontal function. CONSTITUTION:A spherical fitting part 12 is provided at the tip of a convex maintaining member 1. A concave maintaining member 6 comprising an elastic material is provided on a bed 5 of a plate denture 4 with a bed having the outer circumference thereof formed narrower toward the tip thereof. A concave fitting part 17 into which the spherical fitting part 12 is fitted is formed in the concave maintaining part 6. With the fitting of both the fitting parts 12 and 17, the plate denture 4 with a bed is maintained better. A periodontal function by the elasticity of the concave maintaining member 6 allows better buffering with respect to external atimulation caused by an occlusion pressure. Moreover, since the outer circumference of the concave maintaining member 6 is formed narrower toward the tip thereof, a slip preventing force works on the spherical fitting part 12 against a separating force working on the plate denture 4 with a bed in chewing.</p> |
