Continuously vulcanising rubber covered cable - where short extra cooling jacket before main cooling zone prevents shock cooling effects

Continuous length of rubber, e.g. in cable covering, is vulcanised by drawing through a vulcanising tube with a heated zone and subsequent cooling area. This tube has an extra short sealed jacket for coolant liq. or gas, positioned between the heated and sooling zones. Process eliminates harmful shock cooling effects, using an efficient cooling zone.
