PURPOSE:To provide a process for the long-term preservation of seaweed to be eaten raw causing little change in the taste, flavor and color of the raw seaweed and enabling easy cooking of the seaweed. CONSTITUTION:Seaweed collected from seawater is washed, sterilized, drained, adjusted in pH to be 4.5 to 9.5 with a pH modifier, dehydrated and stored in refrigerated state. |
