PURPOSE:To detect with high accuracy the junction wire of an object to be welded with a simple constitution, and to perform with high accuracy the tracking of the junction wire of the object to be welded. CONSTITUTION:An image pickup device 5 is equipped with a lens with an optical axis 25 tilted in the working progressing direction of welding from an observation point on a junction wire 4 preceding from the working point 13 of welding and a CCD camera 17 photographing the image of the junction wire 4 of objects 2 and 3 to be welded, which are arranged in the rear of this lens and are image-formed, and converted into a picture signal. Interference filters 18 and 19 attenuating welding light making incident on this CCD camera 17, are provided. Also, a first lighting device 6 and a second lighting device 7 have lighting optical axes 44 forming an angle of approximately 45 deg. with the work surfaces of the objects 2 and 3 to be welded, light the junction wire 4 of the objects 2 and 3 to be welded, perform the image pickup of this junction wire 4 by the image pickup device 5, and detect its position. |
