METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR EXHAUST DESULFURIZATION IN WET PROCESS

PURPOSE:To provide a method and apparatus for an exhaust desulfurization in wet process in which the higher performance of the desulfurization is demonstrated even with the reduced capacity of an oxidizing tank. CONSTITUTION:In an apparatus, an exhaust gas containing SOx is introduced from an inlet duct 2 into an absorption tower main body 1; SOx in the exhaust gas is removed by being absorbed with a calcium absorbing liquid sprayed by a spray nozzle 4; the sprayed liquid dropped is stored in an oxidizing tank 6; air is blown to the absorbing liquid in the tank by an air blower 8; the liquid is stirred by a stirrer 7 to oxidize calcium sulfite in the liquid into gypsum; the absorbing liquid is recirculated to a sprayer 4 by a pump 5. A porous plate 16 for oxidation is installed at a position which is lower than the inlet duct 2 and above the level in the oxidizing tank 6; gas containing air risen from the oxidizing tank 6 is passed through from under the porous plate 16 to contact the absorbing liquid which is dropping from the porous plate 16 so that calcium sulfite in the liquid is oxidized.
