In order, in the case of a motor-vehicle construction with a platform frame, to obtain a high torsional rigidity and simple and cost-effective production, provision is made for the platform frame to be formed by at least one large-surfaced, long extruded profile part made of light alloy, the extruded profile part being provided with cutouts in the region of wheel houses, chassis parts, the drive assembly and the spare wheel.
