<p>A double cut-off contact maker-breaker is provided wherein each contact bridge 23 has an associated individual drive piece 27 sliding in fixed guide surfaces (58) (Fig 2). On each drive piece are applicable a quick opening member 28 and a slide 29 movable parallel to the median plane (P) of the contact bridges. Slide (29) may have three lugs (62) as in (Fig 4) guided by slits (64) and tenons (65) for example.
