The invention relates to an electrical actuating drive having a DC motor (3) which has no commutator but has a stator and a permanent-magnet rotor which interact magnetically in such a manner that a high holding torque is produced at rest. A rotating field is produced in the stator, controlled by a device (4) for position identification having three Hall sensors. Because of the holding torque, the rotation speed in normal operation cannot be made infinitely small. According to the invention, the motor (3) is therefore moved step by step at relatively low rotation speeds, a clock generator (23) of a control electronics device (1) determining the step frequency in accordance with the predetermined rotation speed. The invention is used in actuating drives of any type.
