Fastening system for fastening surround strips for panes on frames, having a drive-in unit which exhibits an operating head (12) with a percussion drive, an opening tool beneath the operating head with a drive-in duct, a drive-in push rod which is guided in the drive-in duct and can be moved by means of the percussion drive, and a fastening-means feed which is connected to the drive-in duct in the movement region of the drive-in push rod, and having fastening means which have at least one shank with a pointed drive-in end, which can be fed to the opening tool by way of the fastening-means feed and of which in each case one can be gripped in the drive-in duct by the drive-in push rod by triggering the percussion drive and can be driven into the workpiece by way of an opening of the opening tool, the drive-in unit being connected to a device for aligning the opening of the opening tool with a sealing rebate on the inner border of a surround strip, and the fastening means having at their drive-in ends, on a side to be directed towards the pane, a chamfer surface which bends the shanks away from the pane during the driving-in operation. <IMAGE>
