Magnetic fastening of supplementary parts on spectacle frames

The previous optical variation possibility of a spectacle frame in the form of supplementary parts is possible at present only by means of clamping or screw connections. The novel possibility of fastening is characterised in that the supplementary parts stay on the spectacle frame by fitting small magnets. They ensure the rapid and virtually wear-free exchange of the supplementary parts. Usually the supplementary part (2) is firmly (unreleasably) connected to the spectacle frame (3). Using a magnet (1b) on the supplementary part (2) and a second magnet (1a) on the spectacle frame (3) makes the connection releasable. The spectacle frame (3) is thereby provided with various optical variation possibilities. <IMAGE>
