A gas lighter includes a valve mechanism (A) for releasing a fuel gas at a fixed rate, the gas evaporating from a solid phase fuel of a liquefied petroleum gas contained sealingly within a fuel chamber (24) of the gas lighter. The valve mechanism (A) includes a nozzle (12), a nozzle holder (5) for receiving the nozzle (12), and a flow regulation means interposed between an intake part of the nozzle (12) and a gas passage of the holder (5). The flow regulation means is formed of an orifice plate (15) provided with a central orifice of a predetermined diameter so as to allow the gas lighter to provide a desired flame height. |
