The invention relates to a balancing device for keeping a load in equilibrium by means of a pneumatic-mechanical converter, comprising control means for controlling the pressure prevailing in the compressed-air cylinder. The control means comprise a sensor to sense the pressure prevailing in the pneumatic-mechanical converter and further comprise regulating means which are designed to deliver a compressed-air pressure which is a function of the pressure prevailing in the compressed-air cylinder. Preferably, the pneumatic-mechanical converter is a compressed-air cylinder, and the regulating means comprise electronic control means designed to output an electric signal, of which one variable is the desired value of the pressure prevailing in the compressed-air cylinder. In particular, the invention relates to a balancing device, means being present for providing the regulating means with a pneumatic signal which is a messure of the pressure prevailing in the compressed-air cylinder, and the control means being designed for selecting as a reference, as a function of the set position, either the electronic signal or the pneumatic signal. |
