PURPOSE:To provide an image recording and reproducing device capable of severally dealing with respective part images in the image where plural kinds of part images coexist and displaying them in an optional window on the console screen of a computer provided with a window system. CONSTITUTION:This device is the image recording and reproducing device provided with frame memories 28-30 writing respective expanded part images, a display position specifying part 33 specifying the positions where respective part images are displayed on the console screen of a host computer 40 and a synchronous timing generator 32 outputting prescribed horizontal and vertical synchronous timing synchronizing with an inputted video signal, and controlling the read of the frame memories 28-30 so that respective part images are suited to the specified display position of the console screen by the display position specifying part 33 from the synchronous timing and the display position, and switching the outputs obtained by D/A converting respective part images and the video signal on the console screen with an analog switch 35 and displaying respective part images on the specified positions on the console screen. |
