PURPOSE:To obtain the resistive terminator with an excellent VSWR over a broad band. CONSTITUTION:One terminal of a transmission line 2 is terminated by a termination resistor 9 and a series circuit comprising a resistor 10 and a tip open line 11 is loaded to the transmission line. Moreover, a microstrip line is provided on a dielectric board and one terminal is terminated by a thin film resistor and a resistor in contact with the microstrip line along the propagation direction of the microwave is provided. Moreover, a resistor whose one terminal is short- circuited is loaded to a point on the transmission line apart from the termination resistor of the transmission line by a 4/n wavelength (n is an integer). Thus, the effect of the parasitic inductor and parasitic capacitor in existence in the termination resistor and ground conductor is cancelled and a broad band application is attained. |
