PURPOSE: To obtain the spectral similarity for each pixel, by generating the spectrum of every pixel from each part of an image, converting the same into a data signal by A/D conversion, multiplying the same with the corresponding data in the memorized coefficient matrix, and adding the products. CONSTITUTION: The light from a scene 14 is converged on a spectrometer 18 through a telescope 16, to form the two-dimensional intensity distribution. The two-dimensional focal plane array (detector) 20 receives the intensity, and outputs the same as a serial data stream. The A/D conversion of the data signal is performed to be inputted by a target confirmation unit 22. The scene 14 is scanned by the time when all the light is focused on an inlet slit of the spectrometer 18. The discrimination matrix calculated from the target spectrum in advance, is memorized in the unit 22, and the data signal from the data stream and the corresponding signal in the discrimination matrix are multiplied. Then the products are added to generate the spectral scale on each pixel of the image. Thereby the contents of the analyzation can be easily modified only by modifying the memorized discrimination matrix. |
