<p>PURPOSE:To load a small size tape cassette without considering its loading place into the device capable of loading plural different-sized tape cassettes. CONSTITUTION:The device is equipped with a cassette tray 13 arranged to be capable of coming in and going out of an opening part provided on a front panel, and two kinds of large and small casing size cassettes 24, 26 can be loaded into this cassette tray 13, and then magnetic recording and reproducing can be performed on these cassettes. This magnetic recording and reproducing device is provided with a positioning means for moving the small size cassette 24 into a specified position irrespective of its loading place when the cassette 24 is loaded into the cassette tray 13, so that the cassette 24 can be set in a proper position irrespective of its loading place.</p> |
