OPTICAL PATH FORMING BODY FOR OPTICAL DEVICE

PURPOSE:To utilize the forming body for an optical path forming member in common with an optical device and to make it a unit by incorporating an optical element by forming longitudinal grooves and lateral grooves in a rectangular arrangement with a prescribed interval on the surface of a substrate and forming an optical element mounting part on the intersection part. CONSTITUTION:A substrate 1 is a square plate and longitudinal grooves and lateral grooves having a fixed width and depth are formed on its surface. These many grooves are provided with a constant pitch and thus optical paths are formed in a rectangular arrangement on the substrate 1. An extrance/exit path 4 for a laser light beam penetrated through the substrate 1 in the plate thickness direction is perforated at the intersection of the longitudinal groove 2 and the lateral groove. Positioning holes 5 are perforated at the respective corner parts of the substrate 1. An optical element mounting part 10 is provided at the intersection of the grooves. A screw hole 12 is provided in its circular recessed part 11. An optical element 20 is mounted on the mounting part 10. The optical element 20 has a size for making a laser beam passing through the grooves 2, 3 transmit through or reflected by them.
