PURPOSE:An insulin secretion accelerator that is composed of a powder resulting from the calcination of oystershells under an oxygen-free condition, thus being better than calcium lactate. CONSTITUTION:A fine powder of grey or light-browning white color, which is prepared by the calcination of oystershells under an oxygen-free condition at elevated temperatures, is used for an insulin secretion accelerator. The calcination is carried out usually at 1600-2000 deg.C under an oxygen-free condition for 40-60min. The powder is orally given to inhibit the increase of blood sugar. |
