<p>PURPOSE:To shorten the aging term of an SQ-treated steelmaking slag by using the heat generated in the SQ-treatment to the aging with warm water in the following process. CONSTITUTION:The high temp. steelmaking slag mechanically crushed into coarse grain is packed into a core vessel in a pressure vessel, and after closing the pressure vessel, cooling water is sprayed from the upper part 5-30ton/hr.m<2> water spraying density. By increasing the steam pressure in the pressure vessel with the generated steam, the relation between the steam pressure P(Kg/cm<2>) and the treating time T(hr) is kept to in the range regulated with the following inequality 3.50>=P<0.6>XT<0.4>>=1.48 to execute the aging to the coarsely crushed high temp. slag. In such a way, the rapidly cooled crushing with the cooling water and the aging by promotion of the hydration reaction, are executed. Successively, after executing the crushing and the aging to the slag, the two-step treatment with the warm water aging is executed by dipping it for >=12hr in the condition of 80-100 deg.C while heating with a warm water.</p> |
