PURPOSE:To provide an oscillatory-wave motor driven by a progressive oscillatory wave and to accurately detect the vibrational state of the motor. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of electrostrictive element parts 3A, 3B, 11 are arranged in a vibrating body 2 and cycle signals differing in phase are applied to the element parts, while detecting element parts are arranged on the vibrating body and the polarization polarities of both adjacent element parts of one detecting element part are made the same. |
