PURPOSE: To provide an audio signal recording format and to provide the reproducing method and device therefor. CONSTITUTION: An audio signal is reproduced from a recording medium 10 including a 1st area for recording the audio signal consisting of an accompaniment signal recorded by an MIDI format and having one discrimination bit and a digitized vocal signal having one discrimination bit and a 2nd area for recording index information for the recorded audio signal. Data are outputted to either one of an accompaniment signal reproducing part 30 and a vocal signal reproducing part 40 in accordance with the discrimination bit, signals from both the reproducing parts 30, 40 are synthesized by a synthesis part 80 to generate an audio signal. The recording and reproduction of the audio signal can be simplfied by using an index signal for the audio signal. |
