PURPOSE: To execute new function additions at all normal operating work tone times by file updating and to execute the file updating by storing a new software file in the standby system of a control system device for controlling the call processing of an exchange beforehand. CONSTITUTION: A control system device is of a duplex constitution of a '0' system and a '1' system and respective main memory units(MMs) 20 and 21 for storing a software file, and respective central controllers(CCs) 10 and 11 operated corresponding to the software file inside the MMs 20 and 21 are provided for the respective systems. Then, a communication path system 40 is connected to the CC 10, which is an active system and a disk device (DK) 30 storing the new software file beforehand, is connected to the CC 11 which is the standby system. The standby system is switched to a new active system, and call information for a call during connection is transferred from an old active system to the new active system or the processing of an existing call is continued in the old active system. Thus, the temporary interruption of service is for an extremely short time or is completely eliminated. |
