PURPOSE:To surely set an electric heating zone. CONSTITUTION:In an electric heating metallic catalyst carrier composed of a multi-layered structure of a combination foil made by combining a corrugated foil 11 and a plane foil 12, this carrier is constituted by providing a projecting part 19 on the plane foil 12 and joining the adjacent combination foils with each other at the projecting part 19. The position of the projecting part 19 at the time of laminating the combination foils is controlled by selecting the position of the projecting part 19 on the plane foil 12 and the heating zone is surely controlled since the projecting part 19 is a heat generating part.
