OPTICAL MICROWAVE GENERATOR

PURPOSE: To provide a simple structured microwave generator which does not employ such an expensive means as a closed control system. CONSTITUTION: This generator is provided with a fiber ring laser 1 which is related with an intermediate frequency device 22 which generates a microwave frequency by generating the light of a plurality of optical frequencies and forming a selected differential frequency. The fiber ring layer 1 includes a pump laser 9 and is coupled with a fiber ring 12 by way of a wave length deflected light maintenance coupler 11. The intermediate frequency device 22 comprises an optical filter device 21 and is provided with two filters 23 and 24 in parallel as illustrated in Fig.
