PURPOSE: To obtain a striplike mixture having quality uniform over the whole width thereof by producing a highly compressed striplike mixture comprising a deposit formed by sprinkling thermosetting granules by using a double belt press and hermetically sealing the lateral parts thereof along the edges of a belt. CONSTITUTION: Press belts 3, 3' are trained over inlet drums 1, 1' and outlet drums 2, 2' and the opposed belt sections 3", 3''' thereof are passed through the gaps between heated press plates 4-4''' and the gaps between cooled press plates 4", 4'''. Fixed rotary rolls are provided to press plate sets 4", 4''' for supporting mechanical press belts equal in vol. to form a wedge-shaped inlet zone and pressure cushions applying high pressure of 150 N/cm<2> or more are provided to press plate sets 4, 4'; 5, 5'. Reinforcing fibers are delivered from a pair of reinforcing material rolls 8, 8 and a molten liquid film 10 is interposed between both reinforcing fibers from a wide slit nozzle 9 to be supplied to the gap between the press belts 3, 3' to obtain a highly compressed striplike mixture. |
